The cabin sits 50' above the lake giving you a gorgeous view of the surrounding hills, woods and lake. This two bedroom, one bath cabin has been professionally restored to reflect a time past but with an updated interior with new kitchen and bath. The cabin offers two back porch swings, a fire pit (burn ban permitting ), gas grill with propane and a picnic table overlooking the lake to enjoy the view while picnicing. This cabin comes with your own private dock down the hill for swimming and fishing . There is a two night minimum stay required. Bring your own sheets and towels. Pillows and comforters are provided. We recommend that you do your grocery shopping before you arrive since the nearest Walmart is about 30 minutes away. Chism Trail is a narrow road which basically serves as a long driveway for the 12 cabins on Chism Trail. Please drive slowly because there are children, pets and people strolling on the road.

This is a nice, clean, and comfortable three bedroom one bathroom single wide mobile home on beautiful Lake Palo Pinto. The home is fully stocked with dishes, sheets, and towels everything needed for a great time at the lake for vacation. All you need to bring along is your own food for cooking, and your boat if you want to be out on the water. This lake is great in the summer for all types of water sports, and is great all year for fishing. The lake lot has direct access to the water, we have a boat ramp but it is currently not to be used for launching boats, it is cracked and in poor shape. Also the gravel road down the hill to the boat ramp and lake can only be driven up and down with a 4 wheel drive vehicle. The boat ramp is perfect to swim on and boats can be pulled up on the shore right next to the boat ramp. We do not currently have a boat dock either but hope to have one in the future, along with repairing the boat ramp.

Bath House Apartment An open studio style apartment- Including a full size fridge, microwave, keurig, king size bed, queen size bed, love seat, couch, small propane grill out on balcony and also includes direct tv. This apartment DOES NOT have a full kitchen or separate bedrooms. It has a king and queen bed to accommodate guests. Plenty of room to bring an air mattress as well for additional guests sleeping arrangements. No inside bathroom, you use slip tenants bathroom, has granite counters, 2 large walk-in showers, very nice. When you rent apartment you also get a Free launch and trailer parking for you boat, also transient slips are available to rent for over night parking for you boat. If you do not have a boat but would like to go out on Beautiful Possum Kingdom Lake we will give you 10% off of our rentals with Hell's Gate Watercraft Rentals.

This home gives you the perfect opportunity to get away from life’s distractions, we have NO internet and NO TVs (what?! Yes, really!). Come unplug and disconnect! Our 400 sqft tiny home boasts one bedroom, one bath and a loft and can sleep up to 6 people! Bring the whole family for a relaxing and secluded getaway with your own private access to the river. Comes with all the amenities of home including a full size fridge and a washer and dryer for your convenience. We built this tiny home ourselves to be more self sustaining. We built our own gray water system so we can recycle our water to wet our parched plants and we installed a composting toilet to be more eco-friendly with even our waste! Does that make you nervous? Don’t be!! A composting toilet is just like a regular toilet-only better! Our composting toilet is a top of the line Swedish design. It has a special fan inside so there is never any smell (doesn’t that sound perfect, especially in a small space!?). Spend your time here relaxing in or by the river, bring your fishing pole and see what you can catch! We have 3 kid sized life jackets, blow up floats and even a medium sized doggie life vest! After you’ve washed your stresses away in the river come on back to the house and rinse off in our outdoor heated shower, or cold if you prefer! Bring your sports gear and toss a ball around on the grass or bring out your inner child on our tree swing! When everyone is good and hungry fire up the BBQ and feast like Texans at the family picnic table on the deck. As the sun goes down light a campfire and roast some ‘mallows while you tell all your favorite stories, whether there are ghosts involved or not. Then when you’ve laughed your last laugh retire to your cozy beds either in the bedroom on the Queen sized Casper mattress, one of the two twin Tuft and Needle beds in the loft or the full size futon in the living room. You’re sure to sleep sound after getting all that playtime and vitamin d. After you have caught all those ZZZs wake up and repeat!! MAN VERSION: Just in case you’re a dude planning the family vacation...this one’s for you. Here’s a tiny house, it’s awesome. There’s a bucket to poop in. You can fish, swim or whatever. There’s a fridge for beer and an ash tray for cigars. Nature. Nature pee. Privacy. You can play with fire, in the fire ring. There’s a bed too.

There is a master suite with a king bed, full size bathroom and lakefront sliding glass door. The second bedroom has a king sized bed, large closet, and there is an additional lakefront sliding glass door. A twin bunk bed is in the third bedroom and we have a bunk room with an addition twin bunk bed. The second bathroom is conveniently located near the extra bedrooms. All the bedding is plush and comfortable so you may relax and have a great nights sleep after being on the water and taking in the sun! The kitchen has new appliances including a stove & double oven, dishwasher and refrigerator. The absolute best place to entertain while enjoying the lake! The property has a washing machine and dryer, and the living area features a 50" television with a DISH subscription. We have high speed, wireless internet for guests. Our boat dock is just steps away and you can tie up your boat to the dock during your stay. The depth of the water at the dock is about 15 feet and near the shore line - when the lake is full is about 2 feet. Our lake house is in a quiet cove and within ten minutes of Hells Gate. There is an outdoor grill area for cooking and enjoying the sunsets while relaxing with friends and family. THE LOCATION Our property is at the end of a trail in the gated Gaines Bend area of Possum Kingdom Lake. Gaines Bend is a privately owned ranch that was established in the 1800s and the descendants still have a home & land in the ranch area. We have wonderful neighbors and a great property for your family or friends to enjoy. We have room for volleyball and other outdoor games plus a rock retaining wall and boat dock. Be prepared to watch the deer and other wildlife & you can even leave some deer corn for them to enjoy. The resort community also is a great place to continue your workout plan with paved streets to run and walk in the quiet serenity of this splendid vacation area.
